The Educational Audiologists on staff at Oakland Schools support districts in multiple ways. The most frequent services include:
Collaborative partnerships with district staff to improve individual student performance (short-term problem-solving)
Collaborative partnerships with district staff to provide individual student access to hearing assistive technology and support for instructional improvement
Initial student evaluation assistance for eligibility determination
Services are accessed through submission of the District Service Request (DSR) form. Local School district staff may access the forms and checklists by contacting the district's Special Education office.
